Every teammate's AI, working in the same tables
CoNode is a remote MCP server. Each person connects the AI app they already use and signs in once. From then on the AI works as that person, inside the limits they and their admins set.
Supported AI apps
Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Gemini (CLI, and web where available) and Grok all use the same address. Step-by-step instructions for each app are in the guide.

What you choose when connecting
The first time your AI app connects, a CoNode window opens. It shows the app's name and your account, and asks:
| Choice | Options |
|---|---|
| Workspace | The company workspace this connection works in. |
| Spaces | Every space you belong to, or only the ones you tick. |
| What it may do | Read only · Read and write · Read, write and delete |
| Access expires | In 30 days, in 90 days, or never, within the longest period your admin allows. |
A connection can be narrowed further: kept to a single table, and with file downloads, file uploads or documents switched off. You can change what it may do in each space at any time under My AI connections.
What an AI can do
Within its connection, an AI does the same things a person does on the web:
| Action | Connection needs |
|---|---|
| Look up workspaces, spaces, tables, fields, members and records; search records and documents; read history and the activity log | Read only |
| Add and change records, adjust counts, add many rows at once, attach files, leave comments, revert to an earlier version | Read and write |
| Make and edit business documents from published templates | Read and write, with documents allowed |
| Move records to the trash | Read, write and delete |
| Create tables and add fields | Read and write, for a space manager only, if the admin allows it |
And always within the person's own role: a viewer's AI can only read, even on a read-and-write connection. Whether editors may delete is also set per space.
What an AI cannot do
- Invite or remove members, change roles, or change workspace settings and the AI policy. Those stay with people on the web.
- Change document templates. The AI only fills in templates people have published.
- Do more than its person. If you lose access to a space, your AI loses it on its very next request.
- See your conversations. CoNode only receives the requests your AI sends to read or change your data.
CoNode also tells every connected AI to treat text inside records and files as data, never as instructions.
Limits set by admins
Workspace owners and admins set an AI policy that applies to every connection in the workspace. People working on the web keep their own roles.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Most an AI may do | Read, write or delete. Even a manager's AI cannot go beyond it. |
| Allowed AI apps | Only the listed apps, for example claude.ai or chatgpt.com, may connect. Left empty, every app may. |
| Connections per person | How many AI connections each person may have. |
| Longest connection | The most days a connection may last before it expires. |
| Tables made by AI | Whether space managers' AI agents may create tables and add fields. |
| Needs a person's approval | Deleting records, adding many rows at once, making or editing documents, creating tables or fields. |
A person approves risky actions
When an action needs approval, the AI does not carry it out. It gets a link to pass on, and the request waits under Approvals on the web.
- The AI asks, for example to delete every expired item. Nothing is deleted yet.
- The person who owns the connection, or a space manager, sees what was asked and approves or rejects it.
- Once approved, CoNode carries it out with the same permission checks. Requests nobody decides within 7 days expire.
Seeing and stopping a connection
- My AI connections lists each AI you connected, what it may do in each space, what it did and what was refused.
- Change its access per space, pause it or disconnect it. It applies from the next request.
- Admins see every connected AI in the workspace and every refused AI request on the AI policy page.
- In tables, records made or changed by an AI show that app's name in violet; people show in blue.
